Shared Follow-up

Shared Follow-up is a pool of questions that have been marked "follow-up by patron's library" in chat that any AskUsNow! has access to to answer or forward to a local or subject specialist library. Shared Follow-up is another way that AskUsNow! libraries and librarians help each other out.

Needed: Additional Global Hours for 2010

We need to add 5+ Global hours to our schedule for 2010.

What is a Global Shift?

A "global shift" refers to an AskUsNow! shift that monitors both the local ("primary" and "BME") queues as well as the 24/7 cooperative queues.

AskUsNow! Holidays

Service to customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

QuestionPoint 24/7 Reference back-up staff work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They cover the holidays when some of our libraries may be closed. This allows Maryland AskUsNow! to always be open.

Note to academic libraries regarding Winter and Spring Breaks

Please write the Operations Assistant a month in advance of each break in order to communicate any dates that your library will be closed and not providing service.

Shift Substitution Calendar

Need a substitute?

Email the listserv (mdaskusnow@askusnow.info) with the date and time needed and what queues you're monitoring (global, academic only, spanish, etc) and then update the google calendar.
