QP Virtual Users Meeting Notes

QuestionPoint held a Virtual Users Meeting today, highling recent changes to the software (such as the drop-down "reports" link) and to policy pages.  There are three new fields in policy pages to include library information about eBooks, wifi access, and location using a Google map.  See the meeting notes for details regarding these enhancements and future works in progress.

This morning at 8am was one of the three QuestionPoint Virtual Users Group meetings. This one was early in the day to make it easier for the European contingent to join in.

Interruption of service on Sunday, December 19, 2010

From QuestionPoint:

Interruption of Service Planned for Sunday

Due to OCLC systems maintenance, the Questionpoint service will be unavailable this Sunday, 19 December, beginning at 1 A.M. Eastern Time (6:00 UTC).

The projected outage is 1.5 hours. However, the outage may be shorter. If your service is usually open and monitored at that time, we recommend that you check periodically to see if service has been restored.

QuestionPoint install this coming Sunday

Please be aware of QP install coming up on Sunday, December 12:

From QuestionPoint:

"We are installing a couple of new features, improvements, and fixes to QuestionPoint on  Sunday morning, December 12."

This install will provide new "wait time messages" for patrons to see while waiting for a librarian to connect.  These messages are incremental and most can be customized.
