Shift Substitution Calendar

Need a substitute?

Email the listserv (mdaskusnow@askusnow.info) with the date and time needed and what queues you're monitoring (global, academic only, spanish, etc) and then update the google calendar.

To update the google calendar:

  1. go to calendar.google.com
  2. log in as "askusnow.calendar"
(contact Julie or Cathay for password)
  3. for additional details, see instructions for adding shifts

Need to make up a missed shift?

Note that the only time you need to make up a shift is if your library is open and the missed shift was a global or Spanish queue one.

No need to make up hours if your library was closed (unless you want to!).

If your shift was a global or Spanish one...

Make it up within a week, if possible.

Check out QuestionPoint's Public or Academic  "Coverage Needed" wikis for global hours and the Spanish "Coverage Needed" wiki to review the hours needed for Spanish coverage.

When you have determined a day and time, let Julie know.

When is Maryland AskUsNow! the busiest?
