At ALA MidWinter, QuestionPoint had another program in their Best Practives in Virtual Reference series. This one on Making the Case for Virtual Reference. Panelists shared tips and best practices for communicating the value of virtual reference to stakeholders, whether they are grant funders or potential subscribing libraries.

The presenters were:

  • Susan McGlamery, Senior Product Manager, OCLC QuestionPoint
  • Eleanor Sathan, Head of Reference at Memorial Hall Library in Andover, MA and co-coordinator of MassAnswers.
  • Mark Beatty, WiLS and coordinator of the Wisconsin Ask?Away service
  • Sheryl Knab, Executive Director of Western New York Library Resources Council (WNYLRC) and founder the New York’s Ask Us 24/7 service
