Help AskUsNow! win a Facebook Ads Contest!

We’ve entered a “Facebook Small Business Boost” contest.  Winning contestants will earn Facebook ad revenue for each step completed and we’re already on our way! Just by having more than 400 "likes" on our Facebook page, we were able to enter the contest and automatically receive $50 in free advertising on Facebook to use within the next 90 days.

The next step is to get 431 likes on our page before April 1st to get a $100 coupon for Facebook ads. We currently have 331 "likes" so that's only 100 more people.

Here's how we're planning on getting there:

  1. We will ask our Twitter followers (all 1,054 of them) if they've also "liked" us on Facebook.
  1. We will ask our Facebook followers to spread the word and have their friends "like" us, too.
  1. We will ask our partner libraries to spread the word about this contest and our Facebook page on their social media outlets. (Be on the lookout for an official message regarding how we’ll do this- we’ll provide the wording for you!)
  1. We will use our chat exit/goodbye script to ask people to "like" us on Facebook for any additional push we may need towards the end of any of our new goals.
  1. We may post a "likes thermometer" (like the ones for donation goals) on AskUsNow!.info to promote the likes. This “thermometer” would be updated weekly with our new totals.
  1. We may create printable handouts for libraries to hand to folks signing up for computer time in their libraries (as you know, a large % of customers spend time on Facebook) to help promote AskUsNow! and our "likes" goal.

The ultimate goal of the Facebook Small Business Boost is to win $50,000 in Facebook advertisements. To achieve this, there will be more than just this one "100 more followers" goal to fulfill so we will employ our ideas as needed for each goal.

Any additional ideas are most welcome and can be emailed to Julie. Questions, as always, are also welcome.
