class visit to AUN on 2/14

Update: Today's class visit was probably the most fun class visit we've had in a while. The kids were very polite and interested. Here's what the teacher had to say afterwards:

"I just wanted to expose my students to the services that the Baltimore County Public Library   offers.
So many of my students are not exposed to the "Real World",  thanks again for allowing my students to be part of your "Real World" of information this morning!

My students were thrilled to use AskUsNow service.  We could have made a commercial concerning AskUsNow! One student was getting ready to ask you another question and my non readers were reading!"

A teacher from a Baltimore County middle school has arranged a class visit to AskUsNow! on Monday, February 14th from 9.30am - 10am.

If you're able to help out our regular staff during this time, please let me know.

Each of her 14-17 students will be asking a question about a particular career. Those careers are:

• athlete
• computer programmer
• actor
• teacher
• dancer
• chemist
• lawyer
• doctor
• nurse

All of these careers (and more) can be found at the kids version of the Occupational Outlook Handbook at http://www.bls.gov/k12. Feel free to use other resources as you see fit, but this is a great starting point that everyone should know about.
