Some of you may have already heard the news. On April 5th the New Jersey State Librarian announced that after a decade of service to the citizens of New Jersey, QandANJ, New Jersey's statewide virtual reference service, would be shutting down on June 30th.
Because the decision was political and not financial, I have been having trouble finding the words to explain the situation to you, as I feel it is my job as coordinator of Maryland AskUsNow!. Pete Bromberg, Associate Director of the Princeton Public Library, whom many of us know as a previous mentor from the Maryland Library Leadership Institute and speaker at the Maryland Library Association Conference, found the words i was looking for. Please take a moment to read it:

I invite you to add your voice in saving this important service. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
